Been going across the border lately, due to the good currency exchange and being able to find food that is legit and cheap. I love old streets, it makes me feel like a little peaceful as compare to the hectic city that we are living in everyday. Putting away all your problems and just take a slow walk. There are also many good cafes around Jalan Douby area, which is also known as the hipster place. Some place like Bev C sells really good coffee. Johor is confirm a good place for a 1 day getaway. Away from the buzzing city and from your gadgets. BUT be prepare to queue for a long time at the customs and the bus station. Once I just decided to walk over from Woodland Custom to Johor Custom because the queue was just mad insane.
Do try out their fish head curry, egg tarts, banana cake, lok lok and zhi char when you're there too!
